The company data.ai studied how much time people spend on their smartphones. So it turned out that consumers in 12 global markets now spend 4 to 5 hours a day on apps, and Indonesia spends more than others – 5.7 hours every day.

The data spans three years, starting in 2020, when the quarantine caused a surge in the popularity of mobile apps. The graph shows that somewhere the growth was gradual (Australia, Canada), and some countries showed a decrease in demand in 2021 and its renewal until 2022 (China, France).

There is also data on the applications themselves, which take up the most time of users. In addition to the leading TikTok, YouTube and Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), the rating includes Tinder, Disney+ and Telegram.
