In the third final reading, the State Duma supported the creation of a Russian mobile application store, which must be installed on smartphones and tablets.
As TARS reports, this was implemented within the framework of the law on strengthening the protection of personal data of Russians, although a separate bill on the creation of a Russian application store was initially submitted to the State Duma. However, an amendment was included in the transfer law to speed up consideration of the changes.
Previously, VK together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs launched the RuStore application store in the beta version, where initially more than 100 applications were available, now there are already 900+. In addition to RuStore, there are two more domestic stores – NashStore and RuMarket.
