Tax benefits for IT companies

First, about the restrictions: the authorities excluded food delivery services, taxis and banks from the list of benefits, because their margin “is already quite high.”

For other companies from the IT sphere, preferential rates of income tax (0% until December 31, 2024) and reduced rates of insurance premiums (up to 7.6%) are provided, writes Kommersant. They can be applied for by organizations that receive income from services for refinement, implementation and support of Russian software, provision of paid access to content, provision of educational services using online platforms, and others.

Reversal fines for IT giants

Such fines are provided for companies that do not comply with the requirements of the “landing” law, and will amount to 1/15 to 1/10 of the amount of their annual turnover near the Russian Federation.

In addition, the law envisages the responsibility of search engine operators, hosting providers and advertisers who do not fulfill their obligations towards “unearthly” organizations and, for example, continue to publish information about them in the search. And for the distribution of advertising on the site of the offending company, the advertiser may face a fine of up to 3 million rubles.
