The blockchain is arranged in such a way that each user can check the balance on any wallet, view all transactions and learn about their status. Special tracking sites help with this. Most often, they are used to clarify the status of a transaction, if it has not been executed for a long time.
In this article, I will tell you how to find out the transaction ID, determine the network and choose a site that will provide all the necessary information.
Define the TxID
TxID is a searchable transaction identifier. On almost all platforms where you can send or receive cryptocurrency, this information is displayed in the history of the transaction and is available at any time of copying. Let’s analyze it on the example of the most popular exchange – Binance, and you can use any platform, finding a history of transactions in it.
-
Open the page with the list of completed transactions and find the appropriate one in the list.
-
You will see a separate block in the table with a name “TxID”, where the transaction ID is located. It must be copied in its entirety for future use.
-
By opening the details of the transaction, you can find information about which network it was executed on. By the way, on the same Binance, information is displayed on whether the transaction was completed, at what stage of confirmation it is, whether it ended with an error.
The methods of finding TxIDs on different sites, programs and exchanges may differ from each other, but only slightly. It is enough to find the transaction you are interested in and open its details. Next, find the ID address and copy it.

A universal method of tracking a transaction
As the first site with which you can check the execution of input or output, let’s analyze Blockchair. It works with different networks and will be suitable for most cases (compatible with 19 different blockchains). Its use when searching for the status of a transaction looks like this:
-
Open the main page of the site and find the search bar, where you will paste the previously copied ID.
-
Wait for the page to load and review the basic information. The status of the transaction with the number of confirmations will appear on the screen, the address of the wallet from which it was sent will be presented below in the block on the left.
-
In the block on the right, you can see all the addresses to which funds were credited within the framework of this transaction. For example, if you transferred money from the same exchange, chances are that you are not the only one who also requested a withdrawal at that moment, so there will be several addresses in one transaction. You just need to find your wallet among them to make sure you get paid if you are the recipient.
-
By the way, above you will also see the total amount of the transaction together with the commission, which can be useful for determining how busy the network is now.
-
As mentioned above, Blockchair works with 19 different blockchains. Their list is presented on the main page. This will help determine if your transaction is eligible to be tracked through this site.
Stablecoin transaction tracking
As additional information, I want to talk about two other popular sites that are suitable for tracking USDT and USDC transactions. In the first case, use Tokenview. On the main page of the site, enter the transaction ID and perform a search. You will see its status, the number of recipients and the commission amount.
The second site is called Etherscan and is suitable for tracking all transactions that have been carried out on the Ethereum network, including among stablecoins. It works in the same way as all other sites, so we will not dwell on it in detail.
Just enter the transaction ID, search and track its current status.
Bitcoin network transaction tracking
The universal method described above is suitable for tracking Bitcoin transactions, but there is another option that involves using the official Blockchain website. Let’s understand how this happens from the example of a simple instruction.
-
First find the TxID and copy it. The search was already mentioned above, so you can return to the first section of the article if you missed it and did not start reading.
-
Open the main page of the Blockchain website and enter this copied address in the search bar.
-
Run a search and view the results. You can see the commission, total transfer amount and status for each wallet. A red icon indicates that an error occurred during translation. Most likely, it is related to the low commission charged when the translation is attempted.
-
Details are displayed below, among which will be and “Status”. It will show at what stage the translation is now and how many confirmations have already been completed.
-
If you want to know which wallet and how much was credited to this transaction, go down to the block “Exits” and find an address of interest to you.
Of course, this article did not show all the sites that are suitable for tracking transactions in the blockchain. If none of these work for you, use the search engine to find one that specializes in the coin you’re interested in, or at least find out which network you transferred or received from.
In case of errors and questions about translations, contact the support of the platform. However, be aware that in some networks the translation takes a long time due to the too low set commission. This can even cause an infinite number of confirmations, and the transaction will simply hang as a result. In this case, it is unlikely that the funds will be returned to the original wallet.
