About movie:
The film explores the phenomenon of a vanished civilization of the Bronze Age, first discovered in the Southern Urals, on the territory of the modern Chelyabinsk region, only 50 years ago. It turned out that four thousand years ago, far in the steppes, far from the largest world civilizations of Egypt or the Ancient East, there was a country of huge fortresses. They mined copper and gold and bred horses. And it was here that a light war chariot with spokes appeared before anyone else on the planet. In the 21st century BC, the Sintashta people made a technological revolution and … disappeared. In the 21st century of the new era, Chelyabinsk scientists for the first time in the world decide to recreate the Sintashta chariot to show how masters of chariot combat appeared – the first professional warriors in history, knights of the Bronze Age. The film captures this experiment, which will lead to a world-wide discovery. The filmmakers are looking for answers to the questions: how did it become possible to make major world discoveries in these places? Why did people live in the Arkaim fortress, the largest of the Sintashta settlements found, for only 100 years, and then they left? And what is the Sintashta chariot capable of – the progenitor of the chariots of the Egyptian pharaohs and Roman emperors, the principle of which was used even in the first cars after 40 centuries? The main part of the film was shot in Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk region. The Ural scientists and experts from Great Britain, the USA, Greece, who follow the experiment and research of the Sintashta culture, take part in the filming.
